Synagogue uses blackjack to raise necessary funds

There are many different ways for institutions to raise funds for a good cause, and most are quite familiar with them: bake sales, bottle drives, car washes and lemonade stands. The East Brunswick Jewish Center in New Jersey decided to think outside the box and was, as a result rewarded greatly.

This Jewish Center decided to hold a casino night featuring games like blackjack as a Synagogue fundraiser. The local community was very enthusiastic about the idea and an amazing turnout of over 200 people showed up. As a result, the local Synagogue was able to turn well over $23,000 in towards their debt.

Unfortunately for this fundraiser, it was confined to a small area and many blackjack enthusiasts who would’ve been more than happy to take part in the event, weren’t able to make it.
