Zynga Poker Coming to Android Smartphonse
Nov 6, 2010

Zynga for Android
Software developer Zygna announced on Friday that their incredibly popular online poker game will soon be available for Android smartphones.
Zynga’s Texas Holdem Poker game on Facebook supports about 6 million users every day, making it the largest play-for-free poker game on the net. It has already been successfully ported to the Apple iPhone as Zynga Live, but the upcoming Android Zynga poker game will be a first.
Some believe Zynga will inevitably switch to a real-money model in the future. Their enormous player base would help the company generate immense profits. Plus, since their iPhone and the upcoming Android mobile poker games connect to the main Facebook poker network, players would be able to enjoy real money poker games from anywhere. Unfortunately, online gambling regulations are not easily ignored, especially by a company of this size, so there are considerable obstacles in their way of becoming a real money poker site.
Mobile poker has been slow to catch on, despite the fact that iPhone casinos and Android casinos have been offering real-money slots, blackjack, and roulette games for several years. Recent developments are also seeing mobile casino games becoming available on Apple’s popular iPad tablet device. With mobile phone gambling on the rise, Zynga’s fun-money poker game will face some tough competition.
