EE LTE in UK
EE is about to launch the first LTE network on the British Isles boosting mobile casino performance to new heights.
The 4GEE is the new service from EE carrier, scheduled for official launch on October 30. This will become the first LTE network in UK, enabling usual calls and texts, but introducing mobile data speeds of 8-12Mbps. Quite enough for super-fast mobile casino gambling.
Initially the LTE network will be open in 10 United Kingdom cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow, and Cardiff. However, the service will be available for sale throughout the whole country. More cities are expected to be added by this Holiday Season, and 98% country coverage promised by the end of 2014.
The LTE tariff plans contain unlimited calls and texts, customers will only have to pick their data usage limits starting from 500MB per month going up to 8GB. The pricing ranges from GBP 36 for the smallest package up to GBP 56 for the 8GB. All plans also include free BT Wi-Fi access.
Naturally, in order to utilize the new 4GEE network customers need to possess an LTE-capable smartphone bought through Orange, T-Mobile or any partner retail store. However, iPhone 5 owners are in luck: it can be used on the network regardless of where in UK it was purchased by avid fans of iPhone casinos.
EE also offers an option to upgrade anyone’s Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X, and iPhone 4S to LTE version for GBP 99.
In case you were wondering what EE stands for, it’s quite simple: this is the new corporate identity for Everything Everywhere. From October 30 on, all current UK Orange, T-Mobile, and Everything Everywhere stores will be rebranded as EE stores.
If you don’t need the LTE super-fast speed, you can continue using your existing plan on T-Mobile and Orange’s 3G networks without any change (save the network’s name will switch to EE).
