Augmented Reality on its Way as William Hill Sign Up Infinity AR
Land based, online and mobile sportsbook William Hill have announced a new deal with Infinity Augmented Reality, who will be providing the British company with their AR solutions, allowing a whole host of new features across various devices.
Infinity claim that their software is the first to connect universally with digital eyewear, smartphone, tablets, smart TVs, and connected cars, and it opens a whole host of opportunities for William Hill’s mobile casino in particular.
Indeed, Infinity claim the platform will bring dynamism and exhilaration to the mobile sports betting giant’s platforms, and CEO Enon Landenberg said: “Infinity AR will provide a real world environment for the online gaming user that he could never have imagined before.”
He expanded: “The innovations of AR technology have evolved from visionary to reality and our implementation platforms are perfect for this medium. Our affiliation with an eminent and prestigious gaming company such as William Hill promises to be a very fruitful enterprise.”
This is just the latest move in a series of modernizations William Hill have been undergoing in recent times. They’ve recently agreed a deal with Net Entertainment to provide their high quality casino games, while they have recently laid off a number of telephone betting jobs as they move closer to the mobile marketplace.
With mobile casinos and sportsbooks really taking off, augmented reality is seen as one of the major next steps, providing a truly immersive experience to casino players the world over. If William Hill can take advantage of this technology early, then they will gain the upper hand over their competition.
