HappyBet Owner Froehlich Dies after Being Shot in the Head

While heading for a meeting with a client, HappyBet owner Oliver Froehlich was shot dead.
Shocking news in the world of gambling, as the latest mobile gambling news are reporting Oliver Froehlich, owner of bookmaker HappyBet, has been shot and killed outside his office in the Sachsenhausen district of Frankfurt, Germany.
According to the German press, the owner of the online and mobile sportsbook was shot several times in the head, last Friday, as he was getting out of his BMW and heading towards the office. At the time of the shooting, Froehlich was just about to meet with one of his customers, although his identity hasn’t been revealed yet.
No trace of the murderer yet
The ambulance was alerted by a resident who witnessed the incident, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Representatives of the local police forces say a special unit was assigned to the case and several shell casings were found at the site. However, the investigators were unable to trace the murder weapon.
Froehlich worked at the office in Frankfurt with his brother, Michael. The company has been one of the leading Malta based bookmakers for years now. Recently, the bookmaker closed a successful partnership with Bayer Leverkusen, to become the German Bundesliga premier football club’s premium sponsor.
