Agreement will provide Yggdrasil’s entire suite of games to Vera&John, who seeks to expand into growing online and mobile gambling market in Asia.
Online game developer Yggdrasil has agreed to provide web and mobile gambling operator Vera&John with its entire product portfolio, helping it step out of its European comfort zone by including a suite of games designed for Asian gamblers.
Yggdrasil chief executive Fredrik Elmkvist expressed excitement about the deal, stating that “not only will they be able to access our entire content library and localized games, they will also be able to take advantage of the new games we are designing now and preparing to launch in the future.”
Yggdrasil is an up-and-coming developer which is now delivering one game a month, a number it expects to only increase. Vera&John sees the move as an attempt to build upon its record of success in Europe.
2014 to be the year of burgeoning Asian and mobile markets
The move indicates a desire on the part of both firms to capitalize on the Asian market, which has shown a growing appetite for online gambling services. The package will also include mobile casino software, reflecting the emerging trend toward mobile gambling platforms worldwide.
The high-powered partnership will open 2014 with a bang. Yggdrasil-provided mobile casino games will be available on Verajohn, Verajuan and Vera888 on January 28.
