In a bid to up Betfred’s income, the UK-based gambling chain has joined forces with mobile app design company Degree 53 to launch the first gambling app to be exclusively available on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.
The new free lottery app launched by UK bookmaker Betfred is making headlines in mobile gambling news as the world’s first gambling app that is exclusively available for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 users.
This new lottery app will allow players to place their bets on up to 12 international lotteries on a daily basis, where they can either use their favorite numbers or simply go for a lucky dip.

In order to launch the first Windows mobile gambling app of its kind in Windows and Windows Phone stores, Betfred and Degree 53 have teamed up with Microsoft to create the lottery phone app.
The managing director of Betfred Chris Sheffield said the partnership with Microsoft was a “monumental” deal for the company.
“I’ve no doubt the partnership will propel us in our mission to become the front-runners in mobile gambling and gaming, especially in the lottery sector.”
The lottery app with Degree 53 marks the beginning in Fred Done’s plans to launch further mobile betting apps. Back in December, the owner of the British bookmakers announced his plans to focus on mobile betting, having invested GBP 100,000 into the web design and app business.
