Tropicana Atlantic City Casino & Resort is an Old Havana themed casino, which was found in 1981 and it is currently one of the top resorts in Atlantic City. It is a 24/7 gaming hub located right on the beach and is a preferred destination for casino lovers in the USA.
The resort is owned and operated by Tropicana Entertainment, which is a publicly traded company that along with its subsidiaries owns a total of eight resorts in New Jersey, Indiana, Nevada, Louisiana, Mississippi and Aruba.
Casino mobile launch
The state of New Jersey is currently one of the three states in the country where online gambling is allowed. Since this happened last year, Tropicana Atlantic City Casino decided to take full advantage of the online market by launching casino mobile app for iOS devices in February 2014. Its primary goal was to “make it easier” for all players to enjoy their favorite games anytime anywhere.
The mobile app offers something for everyone – from slots to table games and Community Jackpot of $30,000. Therefore, casino players have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite games from the comfort of their homes or play anytime they feel like.
Anthony “Tony” Rodio, President and CEO of Tropicana Entertainment, said: “The Tropicana Atlantic City app is an extension of our ‘something for everyone’ approach to gaming and entertainment. Our goal is to offer people a little break and a little fun whenever they want it, wherever they are in the state.”
He added: “Our guests are busy people. When they look for the great escape they come down to Tropicana Atlantic City to break away from their daily routine. Today, with the mobile app, a patron who wants a short break can use an iPhone or iPad and enjoy many of the same games they love to play here inside Tropicana Atlantic City.”
Huge revenue increase
On March 13 Tropicana Casino announced great casino gambling news, namely 60% revenue increase for its online gaming operation, for just one month – from January to February 2014. The company’s online revenues grew from approximately $841,000 in January to $1.35 million in February 2014.
Additionally, Tropicana Atlantic City launched one of the first online and casino mobile versions in New Jersey and have already brought $1.4 million in tax revenue in January 2014. The future of online and mobile gambling in New Jersey looks pretty bright as the positive economic impact is already showing.
Rodio, commented: “Tropicana Atlantic City Online is an exciting endeavor for Tropicana Atlantic City and has helped us reach a new audience throughout New Jersey. We are very pleased with our revenue growth thus far and plan to continue growing as leaders in the online gambling industry.”
Tropicana Atlantic City Online Casino offers Community Jackpots up to $30,000, which makes the online and mobile play even more exciting with huge opportunities to win. Players can enjoy over 30 Tropicana Atlantic City favorite slots, as well as table games in a secure online environment.
As one of the pilots in online gambling in New Jersey, Tropicana Atlantic City Online offers players the opportunity to have control over their own deposit and spending limits, as well as session times and “cool-off” time while still “staying” online.
Overall, New Jersey experienced 9% increase in online betting revenues in February, compared to January. The results in online gambling were $10.3 million in revenue, compared to $9.5 million in January.
