Caesars Joins with IGT to Establish First Multistate Progressive Jackpot
Apr 13, 2014
Caesars Entertainment and IGT join forces to release first multistate progressive jackpot network in the US.
IGT has already worked to develop Powerbucks, a multistate wide area progressive jackpot network, which will serve as an addition to its MegaJackpots.
The agreement between the casino conglomerate and the mobile betting provider stipulates that Caesars will be responsible for facilitating Powerbucks to approved jurisdictions. Currently that entails the home states of Caesars Entertainment: Nevada and New Jersey.
Cumulative Jackpot prizes will now be up for grabs for players in the respective states, who are destined to have a thrill with the new services.
Senior vice-president of gaming at Caesars Entertainment, Melissa Price, feels that the partnerships of the two firms will enable players to experience a higher level of gaming pleasure.
“Together, IGT and Caesars Entertainment own the legacy of creating the most millionaires in the industry; now with Powerbucks, we’re creating a whole new level of excitement around winning.”
IGT’s senior vice-president of global sales, Eric Tom, is convinced the synergy between Caesars and the mobile casino firm will create a fervent echo from the players.
“We’re excited to transform the jackpot experience in partnership with Caesars Entertainment. With Powerbucks, IGT re-imagines casino gaming thrills by creating more winners, more often, across multiple states.”
Player pools shared among Delaware and Nevada
Two months ago, Governors Brian Sandoval and Jack Markell representing Nevada and Delaware respectively, signed an agreement that will see them share player pools.
The Multi-State Internet Agreement will enable each individual state’s gaming sites to participate in player pools sharing, which will primarily concern poker.
