PokerStars has announced that next year’s Caribbean Adventure will include a blackjack competition as well. This will be the first PokerStars Blackjack tournament at the PCA and hopefully not the last. “Blackjack players are used to pitting themselves against the house, but they will now be able to pit themselves against other players in a $100,000 guaranteed blackjack tournament,” said Edgar Stuchly, PokerStars Director of Live Events.
Important details of the PokerStars blackjack tournament
The Atlantis, Paradise Casino Blackjack rules will apply to the PokerStars Blackjack Tournament. Each player will receive $10,000 in chips, at the start of each round. The rounds will consist of 15 hands and there’ll be three of them overall. Furthermore, PokerStars’ blackjack tournament will have a $100. Players will be allowed to place one secret bet during each round, which will be revealed when all of them have placed their bets.
Kicking it off with a huge prize pool
The winner will be determined after an official countdown of the players’ remaining bankroll. However, the bankrolls will not roll over to the next round. In unclear situations, the Tournament Director will have the final word. The first prize was determined at $30,000, the second at $18,000 and the third at $10,000. The event will be held on the second day of the PCA, January 8.
