Spin3 and 32Red Bring Real Money Blackjack for iPhone to Apple App Store
Nov 17, 2010
A press release circulated yesterday by Spin3 suggests that Apple may have changed their stance on real money gambling apps.
Real Money iPhone casinos and iPad blackjack games are nothing new, but the fact that there is now a real money blackjack game available for download through the Apple App Store is big news.
Apple has long held out against allowing real money online casino games to be offered through the iTunes Store. Before yesterday, the only iPhone casino games that could be found there were games that could only be played for fun, with no actual money involved.
The announcement from Spin3 yesterday therefore comes as a big surprise. The new Blackjack app works natively on all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, and is only available to users in UK and Ireland. Initially the app will be offered in conjunction with 32Red, but it will soon be available for other Spin3 mobile casinos.
Matti Zinder, Head of Spin3, said, “The Apple App Store presents a huge opportunity for the mobile gaming world. We have worked hard to take full advantage of the hardware capabilities of iOS devices and directly tap into the massive established community of users, developing our award-winning games and technology for Apple’s leading mobile devices.”
iPhone and iPad users can also access this mobile blackjack game by signing up directly with 32Red Mobile Casino, where more than a dozen other real money casino games await.
