Italian Mobile Casino
Spiral Solutions Ltd., an electronic gambling service provider, was completed a contract to offer mobile gambling to the recently regulated Italian gambling market, taking advantage of Nexigames Ltd.’s license.
Nexigames Ltd., who owns Wild Jack Casino and Wild Jack Poker, holds a Class 1 Gaming License issued by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) in Malta. They will be the first client of Spiral Solutions to offer a product in Italy. They will be using a new brand, Gioca Casino, which will operate under the Nexigames’ Amministrazione autonoma dei monopoli di Stato (AAMS – The State Monopoly Administration) license, which Nexigames expects to acquire once the AMMS begins processing applications.
Spiral Solution’s support for Nexigames’ Italian mobile casino will be complete, including acquisition, retention, and support. They will also consult towards regulatory compliance, business planning, finances, and risk management. The two companies will collaborate to provide business-to-business (B2B) solutions specifically targeting the Italian market, allowing the two companies to offer the online and mobile casino gambling platform and related services to branded partners.
The head of Spiral Solutions Matti Zinder observed “There are lots of people watching Italy very closely, with analyst house Research and Markets estimating that the remote gaming market was worth more than Euro 4 billion in 2010…. It’s a really exciting time for the market and this is a very significant deal. We have applied our international knowledge and experience from newly regulated markets such as France, to break new ground in the quickly developing Italian market.”
Moreover, Matti projected “Italy is a new frontier for a lot of gaming companies, and while it is vital to seize the early initiative, it is more important that companies enter the market in the right way. We are uniquely placed to help Gioca Casino and other brands launch and establish themselves in the market, not only online, but also in the mobile e-gaming industry through our mobile division Spin³. We are sure Italian consumers will enjoy the experience – we can’t wait to see their reaction.”
The Italian government has been working to expand legal online and mobile gambling in Italy for some time. A problem was created by a misconception that mobile gambling was unregulated and therefore unlawful, but AAMS merely needed to offer unambiguous guidelines to mobile gambling operators in order to rectify this, allowing operators to move forward with new mobile casino software.
