rich addicted loses family fortune
Say No To Crack

A 25 year old drug addicted heir of a jewelry empire managed to lose the entire $230 million family fortune in a single week at Macau’s legendary blackjack and baccarat high limit tables.

Shi YinYin, 25, was the prodigal son of one of China’s most respected families, known better as the ‘Wuxi Diamond Family’. An heir to a vast empire of jewelry businesses, and a $10 million dollar wedding last year, YinYin was the darling of the media, fueling the dreams of underpaid sweat shop workers, coolies and factory drones.

According to his friends, YinYin’s fairytale world began to collapse last October as his use of cocaine, crack, methamphetamines and heroin reached epic proportions.

“He knew everything about blackjack, baccarat and poker. He knew what cards every player had before the hand was dealt but the drugs made him crazy. Then he went to Macau, and that’s the last time I heard from him,” reveals the commander of YinYin’s now unemployed teams of personal bodyguards.

As has been widely reported this week, Shi YinYin along with his father Shi Chancong, and his mother Tang Yanfen have all disappeared after YinYin allegedly lost 1.5 billion yuan ($230 million US) at Macau high-roller baccarat and blackjack card games and baccarat tables in a single week.

Borrowing from the mob

Besides loosing every last dollar of his family’s vast fortune, YinYin managed to convince his father-in-law, the alleged Head Dragon (Godfather) of the powerful Sun Yee On Triads, to lend him an additional $50 million U.S. dollars, which in turn YinYin also lost in a drug and alcohol fueled ‘blackout’. The Sun Yee On Triads is reputed to be the largest of all Chinese organized crime syndicates with over 40,000 members and 1,500,000 associates throughout the world.

Before disappearing, the family filed for bankruptcy with the Beitang District People’s Court, for its vast wholesale diamond empire and its vast chain or retail jewelry stores, reporting a debt of over 230 million US dollars. The court immediately froze every personal bank account and took control of all real estate and other assets upon learning of the family’s disappearance.

“A (People’s Republic of China) special police team is conducting a thorough investigation using every available resource to find the (missing family’s) location”, the District People’s Court press release explained.

Memories of a bright future

With no means to repay the 50 million dollar gambling loan to his father-in-law, YinYin and his family’s prospects of remaining alive are low. YinYin’s father-in-law, according to China Modern Express, stated that his daughter is no longer married to YinYin, has denied the existence of any loan, and cryptically added that – ‘they are but a forgotten memory.’

Playing while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics will alter your perception, destroy your concentration and weaken your judgment and may lead to impulsive, irrational and irresponsible behavior – (such as losing $50 million dollars borrowed from a Mafia Boss.)
