Bodog Will Own Gambling.com by End of Month Insiders Bet
Jan 10, 2011
Bodog will be the new owner of Gambling.com by the end of January and insiders are willing to bet on it.
Insiders are whispering around some walls with ears that would put Dumbo’s to shame. No need for a blackjack glossary to know that the eye in the sky is watching too. Bodog, is hungry again after last summer’s acquisition of Slots.com with some loose change found inside the sofa, well, US$5.5 Million worth of loose change. The reservation at London’s L’Atelier is already made and the same bar stool will come out of the display case for the occasion.
Taking Gambling.com is the perfect move for Mr. Calvin Ayre and a perfect addition to the Bodog Brand portfolio. The portal website will drive traffic to Bodog branded casinos, poker rooms, casino gambling news and everything in between. Everything has been pretty much decided in advance this time around, so there was no need for a crystal ball. Another one of Mr. Ayre’s New Year predictions will come true very shortly.
Gambling.com is currently owned by Media Corporation and is being auctioned through Sedo. Media purchased Gambling.com for US$20 million five and a half years ago. Media claims it’s selling the domain because it’s making them no money, because of the USA online casinos gambling prohibition, and to get liquidity for investment in other domain names and ventures.
The word ‘gambling’ is ranked as the #1 gambling related search keyword on Google. Gambling.com gets around 300,000 hits per month and comes with an already functional website. Bodog won’t even have to change the affiliate banners, since theirs are already prominently displayed in the two best spots of the homepage.
