10 million Samsung Galaxy S III units sold
10 million SGS III

The success of the Samsung Galaxy S III with mobile gamers confirmed by sales of the device reaching a record mark.

Samsung president of IT and mobile communication division, Shin Jong-kyun, revealed that sales of the extremely popular Galaxy S III smartphone have crossed the 10 million devices mark. The record sales are partially attributed to the popularity of the smartphone with real money Android casino gamers.

The news is no surprise: various carriers around the world initially preordered 9 million units of the smartphone, read more in our 9 Million Units of Samsung Galaxy S III Have Been Pre-ordered article. However, the milestone has been reached earlier than predicted beginning of August.

Overall, the mobile casino games tamer – Galaxy S III – is selling at roughly 190,000 units per day on average. And what’s more important, the device reached the magic mark much earlier than its predecessor – the Samsung Galaxy S II.

The Korean giant predicts that the demand for the device will stay strong in the future months, partially because the next generation iPhone will not see the light of day until this autumn. Another reason for the prediction may be the great success of the phone with fans of real money mobile casinos.

Moreover, total sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III may reach 40 million units by the end of 2012, making the device the most successful Samsung smartphone ever.
