Blackjack Surrender is one of the most popular online games created by Playtech. This online blackjack type is played with a total of 6 decks. Within this Blackjack Surrender review, we take a look at the rules, pay-outs, and winnings strategies.

Blackjack Surrender Review: An Introduction

First and foremost, we take a look at what makes Blackjack Surrender a unique form of the game. If you are familiar with the basic blackjack rules, you’ll know the foundation for the game.

Developed by Playtech, Blackjack Surrender offers a few tweaks and treats here and there to make up the ultimate gaming experience. The visuals are second to none and the presentation of the game is overall very impressive.

Rules

When playing Blackjack Surrender, the first thing to know is that the dealer is required to stand on 17. At any point, you can split a pair, but that’s about it. There is no re-split option.

When splitting aces, you may only receive one more card but then you must stand. If one of your split aces gets dealt a 10-point card, you get just 21 instead of blackjack. Doubling Down is also an option, regardless of what cards you have. You can even double down after a split. It’s only going to cost you 1x your initial bet.

But here’s where it gets interesting. Doubling down on a hand when the dealer lands on blackjack from an ace will result in both of you losing your bets. However, doubling down when the dealer shows a 10-point card and then the dealer receives an ace for blackjack, you get your double down bet back.

Insurance betting is also an option when playing Surrender Blackjack. This can only happen when the dealer has an ace. You’re able to surrender early in the game, just after the dealer checks for blackjack. If you surrender, you lose half your bet and the round is over.

How to Win at Blackjack Surrender

Blackjack Surrender ranks so highly among the different types of blackjack games. The online game will allow you to wager anything from 1 to 300. That makes the maximum reach a total of €/£/$ 300. Interestingly enough, however, the chips come in seven sizes. Those are: 0.01, 0.10, 1, 5, 10, 25 and 100. Why two chips are worth less than 1 credit, the minimum bet, is not clear.

Having the different sizes allows players to be 132.27 if they like, or 1.01. Besides that, though, not much else changes. When you win a blackjack will pay out at 3/2, a standard win at 1/1, and insurance at 2/1.

Surrender Blackjack is one of the few titles which is not just about dumb luck. There are certain strategies which can players can use. This can work wonders, making every round a profitable one. But more on that later.

Online Gaming Experience

Another great bit about the online game is that the graphics and gameplay are fantastic. There are photo-realistic bits, such as the velvety violet stools, to the shiny brass chip tray and the brass and nifty card shoes. These are all animated and everything runs quickly and smoothly.

As such, the buttons come and go on the screen, only appearing when they are needed. There are even optional warning messages for beginners. This makes Blackjack Surrender a good game to learn with.

Blackjack Surrender Tips and Tricks

The real best way to make cash whilst playing Blackjack Surrender is to land on a winning hand called 7 Card Charlie. You’ll be able to recognize it as it has 7 cards in it that have not gone bust.

The reason why it is a cash bag is that it beats all dealer hands except for blackjack, no matter what the count is. As such, if you find yourself in a strange streak of low cards, keep hitting. This hand doesn’t come up too often, but it pays off when it happens.

Overall

Although Blackjack Surrender may be difficult to grasp at first, it is a very profitable and enjoyable game once you get the hang of it. Whilst we recommend playing the free demo version for about an hour before placing any real solid cash, you can go at your own pace. According to this Blackjack Surrender review, we’ve got to note that the game is certainly more fun than Classic Blackjack. The visuals are set for a quality gamer experience and the payouts are all pretty standard. If you play, you will have to risk a bit but the reward and enjoyment could be worth your time.
