iPad Gambling is about to climb on a whole different level with Apple announcing the much anticipated next generation tablet.

Contrary to the widespread rumors, the new iPad Gambling tool isn’t called iPad 3 or iPad HD, but simply iPad. We hope this will not create confusion with the first original model. And, to answer everyone, Apple kept the Home button intact.

The new mobile casinos favorite packs a Retina IPS screen featuring never-before-seen 2048×1536 resolution and close to 264 ppi. The GPU has also been upgraded to deliver unprecedented display quality.

Unfortunately for all fans of iPad casinos the CPU inside the new tablet isn’t the A6 quad-core, as everyone was hoping, but a dual-core A5X featuring quad-core graphics. Well, it’s still way better that the one inside the iPad 2, so no complaints here.

The device also received a new snapper, called iSight – a 5MP BSI camera with auto-focus featuring 5-element lens. The high-quality camera will deliver 1080p video recording capabilities to fill the time in between mobile blackjack sessions.

The connectivity features boast 21Mbps HSPA+ as well as 42Mbps DC-HSDPA and 4G LTE up to 73Mbps. Impressive indeed, downloading mobile casino games onto the new iPad will take no time whatsoever now. The famous 10 hrs battery life remains except for the times when you will use 4G network, which will decrease it to 9 hours.

Pricing policy is not all that different from the predecessor and will see 16GB version sell for $499, 32GB – for $599 and the 64GB – $699. The prices for 4G enabled versions are as follows: $629, $729 and $829 for the 64GB top model. Expect the newest Apple wonder in stores on March 16.
