Galaxy Nexus US sales stopped
Galaxy Nexus ban

Mobile gamblers are not too happy with the current state of patent wars between Apple and Samsung.

The Cupertino company has just managed to get a temporary injunction against the Galaxy Nexus sales in the USA. Much to the despair of real money Android casino gamers the court ruled in favor of Apple in the patent case started back in February, but only just now receiving its first ruling.

Mobile casino games forums are now discussing how judge Lucy Koh saw that Samsung infringed a total of four patents, however only one was the deciding point – 8,086,604. This is the one that focuses on a smartphone searching multiple sources via a single interface, just like Apple’s Siri.

Mobile casino regulars learned that the rest of the patents allegedly infringed by Samsung and Google are 8,046,721 – slide-to-unlock; 5,946,647 – actionable linking; 8,074,172 – touch screen word suggestion.

In order to make the injunction go live and block Galaxy Nexus sales in the USA, Apple needs to post a bond at $96 million price. So far experts agree that the final judgment of the US Court will not change, unless Samsung will be able to prove its innocence.

The court also ruled that the availability of Galaxy Nexus in stores would make Apple suffer irreparable harm in terms of lost market share.

Industry experts say that the current patent wars outcome was a direct result of Google marketing its Quick Search Box as a “core user feature on Android”. No way of telling now if other Samsung devices are to follow the Galaxy Nexus fate.
