A budget Windows Phone 7.8 smartphone – the Nokia Lumia 505 has been launched exclusively via Mexico’s Telcel network.

Nokia has gotten into a habit of creating exclusive mobile casino gambling devices for various carriers around the world. The latest comes for the Mexican provider Telcel and is no other than the Lumia 505. Based on the Lumia 510, the new device is a budget Windows Phone 7.8 running smartphone.

The Nokia Lumia 505 will provide Windows mobile gambling regulars with a 3.7 inch AMOLED screen, 800MHz CPU, 256MB of RAM, 4GB of internal space, 8MP snapper, and a microSD card slot for memory extension.

The new smartphone also packs a decent connectivity suit including Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n, as well as A-GPS and FM radio. The battery is rather small at 1,300mAh, but should be enough for the not-so-powerful processor.

The device is already available through Telcel outlets in Mexico and is priced at 3,499 pesos (roughly $277). Other exclusive devices from Nokia include the Lumia 822 for Verizon, and Lumia 810 for T-Mobile, which are special models of the international Lumia 820.
