Mobile gamers jump for joy as HTC officially announces the GSM version of the J Butterfly bound for international markets.

Following widespread rumors, and previous leaks as Deluxe DLX, the HTC Butterfly has been officially confirmed for the international release. The mobile casino gambling device is an almost identical copy of the HTC J Butterfly – the company’s first smartphone with 1080p screen debuted in Japan two months ago – but with GSM support, naturally.

The monster smartphone will become the newest HTC flagship once it’s released. The HTC Butterfly will treat Android casino regulars to a giant 5 inch Super LCD screen with 1920×1080 resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

Further specs of the mobile casino games monster include Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 chipset with 1.5GHz quad-core Krait CPU, Adreno 320 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. 16GB of built-in memory can be extended via a microSD card, and there are plenty of opportunities to snap high-quality photos with an 8MP camera featuring 1080p video capabilities.

Connectivity arsenal of the HTC Butterfly will include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and GLONASS, NFC and more. A 2,020mAh should be more than enough to provide long stand-by and talk times. The whole thing is running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Unfortunately, there’s still no information on the release date and the pricing policy for the HTC Butterfly. We will monitor the news and bring you all the latest updates on the smartphone as we received them.
