HTC DROID DNA debuts at a special HTC event in New York, heading straight for the Verizon shelves in United States.

Various rumors and speculations were confirmed when the HTC DROID DNA was revealed at a special manufacturer’s event in New York. The smartphone is now official and will land in mobile casino gamers hands through Verizon stores in the USA.

The HTC DROID DNA delivers a very impressive list of specs similar to the Japanese brother – the J Butterfly. The main attraction of the mobile casino games beast is its 5 inch 1080p S-LCD3 screen – the first of its kind.

The power source of the new device is the Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait CPU, Adreno 320 GPU and whopping 2GB of RAM. Android casino enthusiasts will also find the following specs inside the DROID DNA: 8MP snapper with LED flash and 1080p video capabilities, 2MP front facing camera, Beats Audio, and 16GB of internal memory, sadly non-expandable.

In terms of connectivity the new smartphone is also well equipped with LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. The battery offers 2020mAh capacity, more than enough for lengthy Android blackjack evenings. The smartphone can be charged wireless following the latest trend.

Naturally, the new monster is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and features the HTC Sense 4+ UI – the latest combination from the Taiwanese giant already seen inside the One X+.

Verizon customers can get their HTC DROID DNA’s starting November 21 for $200, on a contract deal naturally. Pre-orders are already open. Unfortunately no information is available so far about the international release of the device, but we’re hoping that the upcoming CES and MWC shows will shed more light on that.
