HTC One comes to Japan
HTC J One

Japanese wireless carrier KDDI will soon launch the HTC One under a slightly different name – J One.

The Android casino device to hit the land of the rising sun offers the same sublime aluminum design, but unlike the international version delivers a microSD card slot on top of the built-in memory.

The HTC J One mobile casino tamer also features additional IR transmitter located below the camera right next the FeliCa logo meaning the NFC-capable payments support. It’s not clear if the Japanese version of the flagship comes with a removable back cover as the Chinese one, but considering that it’s the only way to insert a microSD card, it probably does.

The smartphone is said to make its way on to the shelves of the Japanese carrier in early June this year. Unfortunately there’s still no information about the pricing policy, but there’s no reason to believe it will be much different from the international version.

The HTC J One will have a number of tough competitors in Japan, as the Asian market is full of high-quality smartphones, which sport wonderful specs and rarely make an appearance on international markets.
