iPhone 4S doensn't leave up to expectations

The long wait for the new iPhone is over and mobile gamers are not too happy to learn that there will be no iPhone 5 for now.

Today is a sad day in the world of Apple with the unexpected passing away of founder Steve Jobs. Fans of iPhone casinos were initially extremely disappointed that only iPhone 4S will come out to play and no iPhone 5. However, the death of Steve Jobs, has completely overshadowed the lackluster 4s release.

Outline and dimension of the phone stay the same, but the increase in power is more than notable. The iPhone 4S will treat regulars of mobile casinos to A5 chipset (the one used on iPad 2), a dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. All that a modern mobile gamer needs to catch that elusive mobile jackpot.

Network data speed are also improved, not the LTE we were hoping for, but 14.4 Mbps is good enough to make mobile casino games fly. The 4S will support both GSM and CDMA networks from now on. The 5MP snapper was replaced by an 8MP one, bumping video capabilities from 720p to 1080p.

Both white and black color options will be available to faithful iPhone gambling fans, as will the three choices of internal memory: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Pre-orders start on October 7 and the new iPhone 4S will hit the stores on October 14. Two-year contracts will get you the toy for $199, $299 and $399 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, respectively.

US customers will be able to spend the money at AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. Initial sales will start in UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany and Japan, while the rest of the world will have to wait until the end of the year, probably giving them time to save some pennies for the new device.
