Samsung and Apple most profitable
Mobile phone profits

The recent research once again proves the superiority of Apple and Samsung smartphones for mobile gambling.

A renowned research company Asymco has just released figures showing that Apple and Samsung are the two manufactures, whose profits represent 99 percent of total mobile phone profits in Q1 2012. HTC is “third” with, ahem, 1 percent.

iPhone casinos popularity is proven with 73 percent total mobile phone profits going to the Cupertino company. Samsung is currently enjoying the title “world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer”, but lost out in profitability to Apple by a mile. Only 26 percent out of those 99 went to the Korean giant.

HTC can sure thank the success of Android casinos on their smartphones for the remaining 1 percent of total profits. The likes of Nokia, LG, RIM, Sony, and Motorola all failed to make a single dollar, posting a loss in Q1 2012.

With the fast advancement of mobile technology it’s crucial how the performance of mobile casino games is driving the sales of smartphones. The better games run on any given phone – the higher the chances that more people will buy it.

Samsung and HTC are hoping to pick up on the Q1 figures with the launch of their respective iPhone killers – the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC One series. However, experts agree that it would be almost an impossible task to do something about Apple’s superiority in the profits department, which it’s enjoying for quite some now, despite failing to reach the biggest market share.
