Mobile gamers with tight budgets are delighted with the launch of WP8 running Samsung Ativ Odyssey at Verizon.

Windows mobile gambling doesn’t need expensive devices to run smoothly. Samsung takes care of a wide selection of customers with its smartphones in every category. The latest budget device to hit the shelves is Ativ Odyssey, debuting today through Verizon wireless network.

The new mobile casino device not only offers great specifications, but also really shines in the pricing policy department. The smartphone can land in the hands of anyone for only $50, after a $50 mail-in rebate and provided buyers sign a two-year contract with the operator, naturally.

The Samsung Ativ Odyssey runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS, and offers a dual-core 1.5GHz Krait CPU. Other specs of the Windows mobile casino tool include a 5MP snapper with 1080p video recording capabilities, 4 inch WVGA SuperAMOLED screen, 8GB of internal memory with microSD card for further expansion.

The device is powered by a 2,100mAh battery source, but perhaps most importantly it’s capable of 4G LTE connectivity allowing super-fast mobile casino games, where the network allows it. Pretty great specs for such a low-priced smartphone.

The Samsung Ativ Odyssey becomes the third Windows Phone 8 running smartphone sold through Verizon wireless carrier’s stores, the other two are the HTC 8X, and the Nokia Lumia 822.
