The Telegraph Media Group selects Picklive Limited as their new partner for fantasy sports and social gaming platforms.

Fantasy sports is not a new activity, but with the quick development of mobile casino gambling and social gambling, the fantasy sports phenomena is starting to gain a second momentum. More and more gambling operators are forming alliances with various software providers to allow their clients indulge in fantasy sports next to online and social gambling activities.

The latest fantasy sports deal comes between Picklive Limited, producers of social gaming and fantasy sports facilities, and The Telegraph Media Group. This may seem strange at first sight: what does a media group want with fantasy sports? However, Picklive and the Telegraph are actually connected.

Picklive formely was a Telegraph Startup 100: Gaming, Virtual Worlds finalist company. The software provider has grown into a respected business offering superior, next-generation fantasy sports and social gaming platforms. The company identifies itself as a “second screen” entertainment provider and companion to sports fans watching events live on TV.

What is the new deal about?

The deal between the Telegraph and Picklive will provide the Media Group’s clients with access to Picklive’s wide range of short-term fantasy sports, mobile sports betting, and social gaming products, usually lasting for one match.

The Telegraph Media Group interactive sports manager, Steve Stiles, had the following comments about the partnership: “Picklive’s daily live games will offer 200,000 Telegraph Fantasy Football would-be managers a fresh and exciting way to test their selection skills in an innovative social environment.”

David Galan, CEO at Picklive, also had a couple of words to share about the agreement: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Telegraph given its unique position as a major media company that already offers season-long fantasy football. This opportunity allows us to bring product innovation and the “social” element into the fast growing short duration daily fantasy sports space to the Telegraph’s customers, complimenting the existing season long games.”
