Apple has high hopes for its latest smartphone – the iPhone 5, industry experts share the Cupertino guys’ views.

The iPhone 5 went on sale on Friday in nine countries: United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. 22 more countries will join the iPhone casino bonanza on September 28.

Several renowned industry analysts were trying to predict the sales figures for the new mobile casino games tool. Some even tried an unconventional approach, like Piper Jaffray, which based their expectations on the Apple stores queues length among other factors. After surveying the lines in Boston, Minneapolis, and New York, the firm found out that the queues are eighty three percent longer than they used to be when iPhone 4S came out.

This information lead Piper Jaffray to make a prediction, that Tim Cook and Co will sell over 8 million new smartphones during the first weekend. During the holiday quarter, the first one since the new iPhone mobile gambling monster will be available, are expected to reach 49 million units. In case these predictions become a reality, Apple could be able to catch up with Samsung in the smartphone race.
