1 million mobile gamers can’t be wrong: the Samsung Galaxy Note is a great smartphone for any purpose including gambling.

After reaching 3 million Galaxy S II units sold landmark (read more in our Samsung Sets New Sales Record for Mobile Phones article), Korean giant has another reason to celebrate: the Samsung Galaxy Note just passed 1 million phones barrier.

The Galaxy Note proved to be extremely popular with fans of mobile casinos mainly thanks to its uniquely large display. The phone was launched in mid-November and now, just over a month after the release, it turned out to be a hit.

The smartphone seems to be appreciated the most with regulars of Android casinos in Germany, France, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The 1 million landmark has been reached even without US launch, which is scheduled for some time next year.

The cross-over smartphone philosophy: is it a phone, or is it a tablet? No, it’s Galaxy Note, seemed to have worked wonders for Samsung. Mobile casino games run smooth on the device and the unusually large screen allows for a never-before-seen gambling experience.

Skeptics may say that there’s no real competitor in the 5-6 inch range currently, but nonetheless well done, Samsung. The success of the Korean wonderphone may well spark a trend among other manufacturers looking to grab a share of the unexplored market.
