iPhone 5S and 5C Could be the Way Forward for Mobile Casino Development

Well, they’re here: the new iPhones have been released. While there may have been a number of uncharacterstic leaks from Apple, the new phones – flagship 5S and cheaper (well, it can hardly be called budget now) 5C – still provoked a positive reaction from their millions of fans. Apple will be hoping the 5C will increase their market share outside of the US, but it’s mobile casino operators that will be looking to take advantage.

Oh, yes, with the rise in social gaming, there is a market developing for in depth, graphically intense apps and HTML5 websites, and the new iPhones will give operators and mobile casino game developers the chance to show off their best work. With CasinoRPG providing a new, graphically rich, HTML5 browser game too, mobile gamblers will have even greater choice.

One disappointing thing is that the new Touch ID fingerprint recognition system will not be released to developers, so no new payment systems will become available for iPhone casinos users, who will still have to rely on traditional payment methods or use one of the new types of apps, such as the offering from newcomer PugglePay.

With the iPhone 5C targeting more developing markets such as China, too, this could see a boost to mobile casinos targeting those regions. With HTML5 websites starting to appear in greater numbers, casinos have a real chance to show off what they can do, and with companies such as Microgaming producing ever more intense game experiences, this is an exciting time to be a mobile gambler.
