Atlantic City’s Tropicana Casino & Resort, which lost $5.5 million in a single day to Don Johnson’s blackjack skills, has invited him back to host a ‘winner-takes-all’ $100,000 blackjack tournament this September 2 and 3rd.

“Since winning over $5 million at one of our blackjack tables, Don has become a celebrity overnight. Now our customers have the opportunity to meet and play with or against him in this tournament,” said Tony Rodio, Tropicana’s CEO and President.

The blackjack tournament is invitation only except for new members who can get into the game with an excellent offer from Tropical Casino & Resorts. On September 2nd, any new members who go to the Promotional Booth and signs up for a free Diamond Club card can get into this invitation-only event for free.

On Friday September 2nd between 5pm and 11.45pm, the “Ready, Set, Go Blackjack” qualifying round will take place. The top seven blackjack players of the qualifying round will move on to Saturday’s main event – $100 Winner-Take-All Blackjack Tournament hosted by Don Johnson who will be a player as well.

In addition to the seven qualifiers, 42 specially invited guests will participate (high rollers and celebrities who probably don’t know blackjack rules and can barely play except for Don Johnson that is). The main event will take place at 10pm on September 3rd.

Tropicana will also donate $10,000 to Don Johnson’s favorite charity, which helps the homeless by teaching them blackjack skills (joke.)

Actually, his favorite charity is his buddy’s Jon Bon Jovi’s Soul Foundation which “supports innovative community efforts to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness”, whatever that means. We will have to make sure and ask him in person.
