Mobile Congress dominated by Android
Android Casinos

The World Mobile Congress at Barcelona, Spain was completely dominated by Android, with Apple and Microsoft being the ‘third wheel’.

The day was sunny in Barcelona, Spain as I stood outside the World Mobile Congress, for a quick cigarette break and a quick game of roulette at one of my favorite Android casinos. I was not alone, and overheard a couple of well dressed gentlemen trade Nokia jokes aimed at the CEO; torture methods employed by Finland centuries ago for traitors: seal lard and hungry penguins played a vital role. Yet I detected envy in their tone; whichever way the coin flips, Nokia’s CEO will still be cruising aboard a luxury yacht to a mansion in a far away land. Let’s get back to reality now.

It may have been a bright and sunny day outside, yet Google’s Android was shining brighter inside. According to mobile gambling news, even the speech of Microsoft’s CEO, Stephen Balmer, did little to impress the crowd, already seduced by Android, which was a part of virtually every new product unveiled at the show. As Balmer droned on about abstract numbers and version updates (not a peep about tablets), he was surrounded by booths displaying Android powered, sexy, top of the line smartphones and tablets crammed with the latest and most innovative mobile hardware technologies available today. It was the first time in my life I almost felt sad for a billionaire.

Apple, despite a lack of their own booth at the World Mobile Congress, had quite a few companies showing off lots of software for the iPhone and iPad. iPhone casinos have excellent games, so it was nice to see the original brand still in play with interesting and innovative software introduced daily.

However, no matter where you stood, there was Android. The Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablet powered by Google Android were the star of the show. Sony Ericsson smartphones, and Playstation smartphone powered by Google Android were a hit. Qualcomm, whose mobile chips are opening up a whole new realm of possibilities in mobile gaming, including what can only be described as altering reality, had a development kit ready for Android programmers. Meanwhile Mr. Balmer was patiently explaining how update Y will revolutionize the mobile world in year Z in a galaxy far far away.
