Ladbrokes’ mobile sports betting product goes live on Mobenga platform

UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has launched a new mobile sportsbook on the Mobenga platform, Playtech’s mobile gaming subsidiary.

The product features numerous improvements, such as an innovative interface and navigation menu, “push” notifications promoting relevant and timely prices, as well as horseracing live stream with a quickbet option, allowing for placing bets right at the moment.

This was the full launch of the mobile sports betting product that was released to a limited audience in August, focused at gathering feedback from a small number of players.

The release statement came right after Ladbrokes joined an exclusive partnership with Chelsea App Factory, a mobile technology specialist. They will be responsible for creating innovative smart strategies and improving the bookmaker’s mobile offering.

Jim Mullen, Ladbrokes Digital’s managing director, commented: “Mobile remains a massive opportunity for Ladbrokes. Customers have increasingly high expectations on what they want from the mobile product. The new sportsbook product on the Mobenga platform is a key part of our response.”

He continued: “This is a significant step on the journey of our digital offer and we are continuing to work on building our single wallet capability with our partners and in moving our casino offer to Playtech well ahead of the summer. When complete we will be in a position to mobilise our business, compete effectively and grow our offer.”

Ladbrokes is one of the leading gaming and entertaining companies that dates back to 1886. It employs over 15,000 people in total and is a market leader in retail bookmaking in the UK, Belgium, Spain and Ireland. The enterprise offers numerous products both for online and mobile use.
