Ice Cream Sandwich for Motorola
Moto Ice Cream

More and more smartphone manufacturers commit themselves to upgrading their Android devices with the latest generation OS and Motorola is no exception.

Sneaky fans of mobile casinos managed to dig up an announcement on Motorola Twitter feed on when the giant will be offering Ice Cream Sandwich updates. The message is crystal clear: the Ice Cream Sandwich will be available for Motos within six weeks of the final version release.

Die-hard Motorola fans are naturally happy as they will be able to enjoy brand new mobile casino games experience pretty soon. Many industry insiders agree that Google is likely to make the source code available right after the launch of the Galaxy Nexus. This makes January 2012 the most likely date for the updates.

Motorola went as far as clarifying that Android casinos regulars will be able to enjoy the new OS on a range of its devices including Droid RAZR, Xoom and Droid Bionic. Skeptics of the early update release date must remember the ongoing partnership between Google and Motorola, allowing the Moto folk to receive the OS ahead of other competitors.

However, Motorola is guilty of posting misleading release dates in the past, so we advise a bit of caution to all mobile casino gambling fans in regards to their expectations. Until more official information escapes the lips of Motorola execs we remain hopeful that Ice Cream Sandwich on Motos will indeed come as early as January 2012.
