Borgata seeks to capitalize on recent legalization of online casino gambling with release of iOS apps.

The Borgata Casino Hotel and Spa has released to free mobile gaming applications to compliment its online gambling platform. The apps have been developed by bwin.partner and will allow gamblers in New Jersey access to iPhone mobile gambling via the BorgataCasino and BorgataPoker websites.

The move comes after the New Jersey state legislature legalized online casinos last year. Despite numerous early hiccups associated with the rollout of online betting websites, the process appears to be picking up steam.

BorgataCasino will allow users to play a variety of Vegas-style casino games like online blackjack and online roulette. BorgataPoker will allows players to select from a range of poker games including real-money, fast-forward, play-money or preview poker.

Borgata looks to avoid problems plaguing other online casinos

Reactions from gamblers in New Jersey indicate enthusiasm for both online and mobile casino gambling. While many online casinos have been plagued with technical problems since being launched last year, Borgata’s John Forelli stressed the company’s commitment to a user-friendly approach.

The new apps will allow players to enroll in Borgata’s iRewards loyalty program, with the chance to earn points that can be redeemed at Borgata and spent on cash, bonuses, entertainment, retail shopping and hotel accommodation.
