Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Galaxy family
Galaxy and ICS

Mobile gamers rejoice as Samsung revealed that Galaxy smartphones are next in line to receive the latest Android 4.0 update.

The full list of Samsung smartphones to receive Ice Cream Sandwich update has been made public. Fans of mobile casinos using The Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note will be the first ones to receive the new OS. The update will reach their phones sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

Android casinos can be already accessed via Ice Cream Sandwich enabled Samsung Galaxy Nexus S, but the Nexus line is special and shouldn’t be compared to the remaining Samsung smartphones.

Among other devices in line to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich are the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and the Galaxy R.

Mobile casino gambling on Samsung tablets is also gaining popularity and the Ice Cream Sandwich will reach them as well: Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9, Tab 7.7 and Tab 7.0 Plus are all set to receive the update.

The full update release schedule is expected shortly. The South Korean company warned users that the update will come at various times depending on the wireless carrier and the country.

For now, it looks like the rest of the Galaxy family will not be treated to the Ice Cream Sandwich, however Samsung’s position might change in this regard. And there’s always the option of creating a custom ROM. Some fans of mobile casino games have already been spotted with ICS on their Galaxy Aces.
