The social media provider becomes increasingly popular for gaming providers

French lottery provider Française des Jeux (FDJ) has agreed to a deal with Facebook France. The partnership will allow FDJ to offer it core lottery products via the popular social media platform. The provider of online and mobile sports betting and lottery games hopes to greatly increase its availability.

A statement from FDJ stated that the campaign “had reached 13.4 million French people in less than 24 hours” and was intended to “strengthen its collaboration with the leading social network in France. These promising results have shown Facebook’s potential to reach existing and potential customers thanks to its exceptional coverage and highly accurate targeting.”

Match made in heaven?

The move makes FDJ’s products must more visible, as Facebook is reported to reach 27 million online users and 11 million mobile users monthly. The campaign will attempt to engage with customers using special promotions for events such as Valentine’s Day and the Football World Cup. FDJ has greatly expanding its offering in recent years, now hosting casino games like online blackjack.

Facebook has become an increasingly popular partner for gaming firms, which major provider Zynga also reaching an agreement with it recently. Expect 2014 to be a big year for the gaming provider.
