Only a few days left until mobile gamers can enjoy all that Intel Atom based smartphones have to offer.

Intel is cooperating with Indian manufacturer Lava to offer fans of mobile casinos the world’s first Atom based smartphone. The pioneer device will bear the name Xolo X900 and will launch in India on April 19.

The smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but rumors suggest Ice Cream Sandwich update will reach it very soon. The Xolo X900 comes with a 4.03 inch screen with 1024×600 resolution (whopping 295 PPI), an 8MP snapper with 10fps burst mode and 1080p video recording capabilities.

Among other features Android casinos regulars will surely enjoy the 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 1.3MP front camera for video calling, HSPA+ connectivity up to 21Mbps, built-in NFC and an HDMI out.

As for the power component, the new smartphone will provide lightning-fast mobile casino games thanks to Intel Atom Z2460 chipset with a single-core 1.6GHz Saltwell CPU, which includes Hyper-Threading.

The PowerVR SGX540 GPU with 400MHz speed and the 32-bit Dual channel LPDDR2 memory are also present to boost mobile casino gambling experience. Some fears about the initial app compatibility are voiced because of CPU’s Intel x86 architecture, which vastly differs from the one ARM utilizes on other SoC, but hopefully it will only cause problems at the start.

The pricing policy information is still missing, but rumors speak about a $500 price tag for the SIM-free version. The only drawback is that the phone will only launch in India initially and there’s no information when the rest of the world can enjoy the Intel chip’s power.
