Indian mobile device manufacturer, Micromax, has announced the A116 Canvas HD – a successor to the popular A110 device.

In case you never heard about an Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax, it’s high time to meet its products. The company produces high quality mobile casino gambling devices featuring the latest specs and with a very attractive pricing policy.

Their current flagship A110 – Canvas 2 is about to be succeeded by the Micromax A116 Canvas HD. The new device will provide Android casino gamblers with dual-SIM capabilities, 5 inch 720p IPS screen, quad-core CPU, and a very attractive price indeed.

The 5 inch display of the A116 Canvas HD provides an improved mobile casino games experience at 294ppi (the previous model had only 196ppi). The power features have also been upgraded: there’s a MediaTek MT6589 chipset with a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, PowerVR 5XT GPU, and 1GB of RAM.

The new smartphone is powered by Android 2.1 Jelly Bean with an upgrade to 4.2 already in the pipeline. Other specs include an 8MP snapper, 4GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for extension. The connectivity suit includes 3G GSM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth. The 2,100mAh battery is spacious enough to ensure prolonged Android blackjack sessions.

The Micromax A116 Canvas HD is expected to hit the stores in India sometime in February at a price close to $280. So far, there’s no information on the international availability.
