MiniTycoon: Casino is a new Farmville-style mobile game for the iPhone.

A new iPhone gambling game called MiniTycoon: Casino is causing quite a lot of buzz this week. It’s a social networking game from mobile gaming company SGN, and it’s the first in a series of three business simulation mobile games that the company plans to release by the end of this year.

The mechanics of the game are inherently social. Players start by constructing a virtual avatar to use in the game. They then use real money to purchase Tycoins, which is the currency used in MiniTycoon: Casino. With these Tycoins, they begin constructing their casino, buying things like slots, roulette, and blackjack card games. Players can even hire their friends to help run their casino.

Of course, these virtual casinos can be visited as well. Players can gamble away their Tycoins at any casino on the game’s worldwide network. Anyone lucky enough to win Tycoins at someone else’s casino can turn around and spend them to improve their own casino.

MiniTycoon: Casino is designed to support a massive player base. Shervin Pishevar, founder and Executive Chairman of SGN, is predicting that the game will generate over $1 million in revenue per month, with players buying Tycoins to either gamble or to invest in their own virtual casino. This is great for Pishevar and SGN, but players don’t get to see any of this cash.

iPhone casinos have been around for a few months now, but these casinos work on a very different level. All money wagered and won at these mobile casinos is real, unlike the play money in MiniTycoon: Casino. Of course, the new SGN virtual casino game targets a much different audience than actual iPhone casinos like Spin Palace or JackpotCity.
