Ice Cream Sandwich on all Xperias
Xperia and Android 4

Mobile gamers excited by the latest statement from Sony Ericsson, where the company promised to update all its Xperia phones with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

2011 was a wonderful year for Sony Ericsson, it managed to produce an array of high-quality Xperia devices: Play, Neo, Arc, mini and mini Pro. And there are still some on the way: Ray, Active and Arc S. Fans of mobile casinos were excited by the news that all these phones will be updated with the latest Android 2.3.4.

This update brings a long list of innovative features including Sony 3D sweep panorama for the camera, USB on-the-go, improved Facebook integration, Swype text input, integrated screen capture, video chat through Google Talk and much more.

Yet Sony Ericsson decided to go even further, and promised all fans of Android casinos to upgrade the phones with upcoming Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, once it becomes available. The new OS is expected in October this year, so the start of 2012 is a realistic date for when Xperia phones can get the update.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich is essentially the Honeycomb version for mobile phones. It will include most of the 3.0 features and lots of fresh ones including NFC options, USB hub support, Virtual Camera Operator – a feature similar to Xbox Kinect.
