Old Mafia Boss of Ghost Shadows OK to Play Blackjack in Atlantic City

New Jersey removed Mr. Robert Chee, the former boss of the Ghost Shadows Mafia and On-Leong Triads from the Casino Exclusion list, branding him a model citizen.
On January 18, Atlantic City along with the State of New Jersey removed Mr. Robin Chee from the notorious list of individuals forbidden from entering NJ casinos, usually because of cheating or organized crime ties. During the 1970s and 1980s, Mr. Chee was the New York Boss of the Ghost Shadows Mafia as well as a high ranking member of the On-Leong Triads. This notorious Chinese Organized Crime group terrorized the city and according to casino gambling news was involved in heroin trafficking, illegal gambling, 17+ murders, human trafficking, prostitution, extortion, robbery and dozens of lesser offenses.
New York Daily News described Mr. Chee as ‘a coke-snorting heroin-dealing hoodlum whose group of 15 to 20 so-called Bayard Street Boys used guns, knives and baseball bats to maintain an iron grip on Ghost Shadow turf.’ Mr. Chee, a blackjack enthusiast and frequent visitor of Atlantic City Casinos became an FBI informant and served a total of eight years in prison for racketeering. Robin Chee was personally involved in the assassination of New York businessman Peter Eng Wong.
New Jersey Casino Control Commissioner decided to restore Mr. Chee’s Atlantic City privileges because “he never committed any crimes in New Jersey, and stayed out of trouble since his release from prison in 2003.” Atlantic City tourists and blackjack players can now look forward to being seated next to such an upstanding member of the community. It is very rare that a name is ever removed from the ‘black book’, especially for a self confessed multiple murderer, slave trader and extortionist.
Mr. Chee stated that he is a changed man, and is looking forward to playing blackjack card games at Atlantic City casinos – “I am very happy. I wanted my name off the list so I can come down here with my family to play blackjack. Now I only play online blackjack.” Mr. Chee describes himself as a ‘model citizen’.

He was the boss and killed and maimed a bunch of people. He ratted out on all his low level associates, 17-18 year old kids. Eight years later he is a model citizen. He should be in prison for mass murder, not whining about atlantic city privileges.
