Sony Ericsson Xperia casinos have to settle for Android Gingerbread OS running devices, at least for now.

However, a Sony Employee has let it slip on his tweeter account that the Ice Cream Sandwich update will find its way to all Xperia devices as early as January 2012. This contradicts previous statement by Sony Ericsson saying that ICS will only become available to Android casinos regulars in March 2012.

The fact that Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Xperia Neo Ice Cream Sandwich firmware has already been submitted for certification can serve as prove of the twitter post. Yet there’s no official confirmation from the manufacturer and fans of mobile casinos can only pray and hope for now.

The Android Ice Cream Sandwich will naturally enrich mobile casino gambling experience on all Xperia phones providing better speed and increased functionality. Mobile gamers are hopeful the latest rumors will become reality and they will be able to enjoy ICS on their Xperias next month.

The update will be coming to all smartphones in the Xperia line including Active, Arc, Ars C, Neo, Neo V, Mini, Mini Pro, Play, Pro, Ray and Live with Walkwan. If January will in fact bring ICS to Xperia phones, Sony Ericsson Xperia casinos could become one of the first in the business to welcome Ice Cream Sandwich enabled smartphones.
