A couple of YouTube videos showing gamblers fighting in a California casino are giving the casino a bad public image.

California’s Lucky Chances Casino has filed a lawsuit against an unknown person who uploaded two videos onto YouTube of fights that happened in the casino’s gaming halls.

Initial reports suggested that the two videos, named “Casino Fight 555” and “Casino Fight 333”, were filmed with a mobile phone. The videos, however, show a birds-eye view of the gaming floor, and both show a time code along the top, suggesting that the videos were actually recorded from the casino’s CCTV security camera feeds.

“Casino Fight 555” seems to happen at a casino blackjack table, and involves a patron in a black suit wrestling another gambler to the ground. “Casino Fight 333” shows a similar brawl happening in a larger card room.

Regardless of the source of the videos, the casino is insisting that they were released without permission. If they are indeed sourced from security videos, the legal implications could be serious. The videos have been bad for business, say the owners, because they imply that the Lucky Chances Casino is frequented by players without proper casino table manners.

Earlier this month, a jury found Harrah’s casino liable for 2002 biker brawl injuries. It is not yet know if any injuries were sustained in the fights depicted in the Lucky Chances Casino videos, but if bystanders got caught up in the battle, the casino may face a lawsuit of its own.
