Mobile Marvel slots

A legal battle between Cryptologic and Marvel is over, and the future of superhero slots looks brighter than ever before.

The legal battle between these industry leaders may not seem as important as the legendary battles between Spiderman and Doctor Octopus, but for players who enjoy mobile casinos, the results could prove even more interesting.

The tiff between Cryptologic casinos and Marvel being settled, the two industry leaders are able to continue their partnership. An announcement of their resolution revealed that, among other things, Cryptolotic will soon be producing mobile casino games. This is an important development because until now, Cryptologic has not offered any mobile games, Marvel or otherwise. Slated for deployment will be redeveloped versions of their current 35 co-branded games, as well as new titles such as The Avengers.

Since 2005 there has been an exclusive arrangement between this gaming industry giant and the comic industry giant. Even though their contract had an exclusivity clause, merely a year after the partnership was formed Marvel inked a similar deal with Playtech. This action, of course, breached Cryptologic’s original contract and placed the royalties into dispute. As some say the Playtech games were superior, we may question whether this exclusive arrangement has been in the best interest of consumers, but from a legal perspective, that was inconsequential. In resolution of the issue, Cryptologic and Marvel have signed-off a new mutual agreement which will be considered “non-exclusive”.

This is good news for the consumer, as now, not only Cryptologic and Playtech, but also casino software development companies, will be able to include these popular superheroes and supervillians within their entertainment packages. Players unfamiliar with Cryptologic Marvel slot games can find them at InterCasino.
