UK bookmakers continue to offer a range of bets on Downton Abbey series, despite the fact that the creator of the drama Julian Fellowes implied that the coming fifth season might be the last one.

The writer commented that he does not think that the show will be broadcasting for many years, similar to the Perry Mason drama.

He explicitly said: “I don’t know yet if there is a season six, but it’s not going to go on forever. It won’t be ‘Perry Mason’.” Despite these comments, UK bookmakers consider a sixth season as a true possibility and bets on the series are still proponed.

Betting shops offer attractive Downton Abbey bets

This casino gambling news is confirmed by William Hill which offer only ½ that there will be more seasons, and 6/4 that the future season five will be the last one.

Spokesperson of the massive betting and online casino operator went further commenting: “We think Downton Abbey still got some petrol in its engine and cannot see the plug being pulled after the next series.”

William Hill is also offering other Downton Abbey-related bets like Charles Blake being 4/6 the promising man to win Lady Mary’s heart when the show is back on screen later this year.

Another offering is 7/4 that Lord Grantham will sell the family property, so that the show will come to its logical end in the following season.
