Lightstreamer technology to power live dealer capabilities on Wirex casinos

One of the giants of the iGaming universe, Wirex, has joined forces with Italian software manufacturer Weswit, to provide highly integrated mobile casinos solutions. Weswit make the world renowned Lightstreamer technology that allows live data streaming across a wide variety of devices, paving the way for integrated gambling apps.

The two Italian companies are working together as Wirex looks to boost its presence in an Android and iPhone gambling dominated mobile market. They have been providing gambling solutions since 2002, and now they’re really looking to kick on. Already partnered with Oracle, this new cooperation could lead to some very interesting app developments.

Weswit’s Lightstreamer technology has attracted attention for its fast streaming capabilities from mobile, tablet and desktop applications. As it is completely cross platform, it can provide messaging services for mobile casino games across every platform: allowing the development of real time chat apps for casino platforms.

Where it’ll really have impact is in live dealer games, however. Wirex CTO, Alessandro Negro, expanded: “Live casino platforms must handle huge volumes of frequently updated data to keep the user interface responsive and offer players a pervasive and truly ‘live’ gaming experience.”

Lightstreamer is already used by Bwin.party for its online poker, casino and bingo brands, so Weswit are not newcomers to the needs of casinos: “iGaming platforms need a high level of interactivity and require dramatic performance in bi-directional data push in order to guarantee an enjoyable gaming experience,” said Alessandro Alinone, co-CEO and CTO at Weswit. “Lightstreamer can enhance any kind of gaming platform with a highly scalable real-time server and a rich set of client APIs.”
