US developer’s games enter UK market, while UK company looks forward to US entry.

Mobile casino gambling specialist Probability (UK) and games developer and publisher Glu Mobile (US) are planning to provide players with even more titles for their smartphones and tablets, the two companies announced on Wednesday.

Glu has mostly been publishing free games and added real-money gaming to its portfolio only recently, with the launch of the Samurai Vs. Zombies Defence slot game. This was the first tangible result of the partnership, which had been signed between the companies last October.

“We were pleased with the initial player response to Samurai vs. Zombies Defense Slots and continue to see a significant long-term opportunity in the mobile real-money gambling market,” said Niccolo de Masi, Glu CEO. “Our relationship with Probability allows us to offer high-quality mobile casino products in the UK and we look forward to extending these offerings as additional markets adjust regulations.”

The development along those lines consist of taking Glu’s popular Contract Killer franchise into the gambling realm in the form of a mobile slots game, which is already available to UK players through Probability’s distribution network.

Released two years ago for iOS and Android, Glu’s free sniper game has since been downloaded on over 40 million mobile devices. The partners expect that the slots version will become equally attractive among gamblers on the go.

According to Probability, this partnership is useful for “facilitating critical UK distribution for Glu, and providing Probability with a leading U.S. partner in anticipation of highly-competitive U.S. mobile gaming opportunities which, when available, will surely be worth millions.”

Meanwhile, Glu is working hard to develop its own branded mobile casinos, which would then be distributed through Probability’s White Label program, as well as its major business partners like William Hill, 888 and Paddy Power. These casinos will feature not only slots, but also mobile Blackjack, Roulette and Bingo games.

Launch is expected within half a year.

“Our strategic relationship combines Glu’s popular social gaming IP with Probability’s innovative real-money mobile games. We look forward to addressing the growing audience of players enjoying real-money gaming on mobile devices,” confirmed Probability CEO Charles Cohen.
