A new mobile casino gambling site

Former Betfair executive launches mobile gambling suite.

California-based KoolBit, Inc., founded in 2011, has taken the big step and progressed from social to mobile casino games, offering real-money gambling in the UK.

Last year’s release of City Slots, a virtual currency casino suite (i.e. you can buy virtual chips for real money, but you won’t get to cash out your wins) was a success among online and mobile players. It usually places in the top 20 on Google Play’s Cards and Casino Games page.

Now the company has decided it was time to move ahead with real-money betting.

While retaining City Slots – especially to tap into markets where players are not allowed to gamble for real money – KoolBit has joined the ranks of companies combining social gaming and online gambling.

It is a financially sensible move, considering the sizes of the two markets. While social casino games yield USD 3 billion annually, actual online gambling (including mobile) generates USD 44 billion. It may be because most games of chance get pretty boring pretty fast, unless players have the option to pocket their winnings in cold hard cash.

The move manifested itself through the launch of casino site iGoSlots, according to KoolBit CEO Gerard Cunningham (founder and former President of Betfair USA). Licensed on the Isle of Man to offer real online gambling, the site is geared primarily towards UK mobile users, supporting iOS, Windows and Android mobile gambling.

“We’ve taken a mobile first approach with the design, but you can play it in a Web browser anywhere. We’ve had virtual goods casino games running for nine months now, and we’re now going to have the biggest real-money mobile casino network with 25 games,” said Cunningham.

With the launch of the site UK players have an even wider range of options of online and mobile blackjack, video poker, bingo and roulette at their fingertips.
