New marketing campaign to promote California Racing and online wagering website.

American gamblers now have an option for wagering on horse racing, as the Thoroughbred Owners of California organization has recently approved a request from online and mobile casino software provider Webis Holdings to offer their services to residents of the Golden State.

Webis is a company focusing on mobility, which offers iOS, Android and BlackBerry mobile gambling. With the newly-received approval, the company’s WatchandWager website can now accept bets from gamblers living in California.

Support for California Racing

Under the agreement, the software developer is to offer a $50,000 prize money contribution to the California Purse Fund. Furthermore, it requires that a percentage of all bets placed by local gamblers go to the benefit of California Racing.

WatchandWager has already offered to contribute a “substantial” amount of money to help market California Racing. The main activity of the upcoming marketing campaign is scheduled for the beginning of the second quarter of 2014.

President Ed Comins commented: “For WatchandWager to be approved and operating as a first mover in the Golden State, will not only positively impact our business as a licensed Advanced Deposit Wagering operator, but also put WatchandWager in a very attractive strategic position as the debate regarding on-line Poker is widely expected to hot up in California early this year.”
