Gaming Standards expandsGSA expands

The international trade group adds nine members from across the globe, expanding its global profile in promoting common industry standards.

The international Gaming Standards Association (GSA) has recently expanded with the addition of nine new members. Appolonia of France, Austria’s DRGT Systems, Inspired Gaming of the UK, Maxgaming of Australia, the Ortiz Machine Company from Spain, and Finland’s RAY will enter the organization as silver members.

In addition, China Lottery Online, the US company Gamblit Gaming and Taiwan’s Jumbo Technology will have bronze member status.

GSA president Peter DeRaedt expressed optimism about the trade group’s new members, stating that “they speak to core of what GSA is all about – an association of companies who are diverse in mission and in location, who have come together for a common purpose: to collaborate on the creation of open standards that make the gaming industry better.”

Big news for a little-known organization

The international group promotes common voluntary standards for gaming manufacturers, suppliers, operators and regulators, putting emphasis on the easing of doing business across borders. In addition, members share smart strategies for growing the industry.

The recent round of additions include firms from four continents, boosting the GSA’s global profile. While it doesn’t often appear in casino gambling news, the organization plays an important role in the international gambling industry. Its significance will only be bolstered by the recent moves.
